A cast lead weight, probably a spindle whorl, of Roman or later date. It is conical in form with flat back face and slightly flattened top with central circular aperture. There are no traces of any decorative elements. It measures 22.85mm in diameter, 9.32mm in height/thickness, and weighs 25.76g. This is a small lead spindle whorl that may date to any point from the Roman period onwards, although a later date is perhaps more likely given its form and findspot.

A complete cast lead weight, possible spindle whorl of uncertain date. The weight is circular in plan and domed in profile with a perforation in the centre. There is no decoration. The perforation is 2.5mm in diameter and appears to have been drilled from either side giving an hour glass profile to the sides of the perforation making it less likely that this has been used as a spindle whorl. Simple, undecorated lead weights of this type are notoriously difficult to date and therefore the date is given as uncertain.

A complete cast lead weight of uncertain date. The weight is circular in plan with a large circular perforation off-centre. There is no decoration. The perforation is 7.5mm in diameter. It is difficult to assign specific uses to such simple weights and although it could have been used as a loom weight it may have served many other uses. Simple, undecorated lead weights of this type are notoriously difficult to date and therefore the date is given as uncertain.

An undatable, but probably Post-Medieval in date, circular lead weight, measuring 35.77mm in diameter and 6.95mm in thickness. It weighs 49.58g. The underside is flat while the upper side is decorated with two concentric rings around a central hollowing, which does not pierce right the way through the weight. Close to the edge is an irregular pierced hole, possibly a result of the casting process.

A complete cast lead alloy circular flat weight with one decorated face. On the decorated face there are five large raised pellets, four equally spaced to form a square and one pellet placed in the centre (also known as a 'quincunx'). The other face is undecorated, with the traces of the lead material of the obverse face and sides having been rolled over onto the reverse face, causing a light crease around the edges. It measures 30.15mm in diameter, 6.13mm thick and weighs 36.5g (1.29 oz). This seems to be a casually produced weight, which is likely to date to either the Roman, med…

A lead cuboid artefact, possibly a weight of some sort. None of the faces are inscribed, suggesting that this was not a die. It is slightly irregular, but clearly deliberately cuboid. Each face measures approximately 10 mm by 10 mm. It weighs 9.2 grams. This object is impossible to date on stylistic grounds and its date is therefore uncertain.

A complete cast lead object, probably a weight of uncertain date. The weight is rectangular in both plan and section and is undecorated on all sides. The metal is a mid brownish-grey colour and is worn. It weighs 11g. Due to a lack of contextual evidence and any diagnostic features it is not possible to date this object any more closely though it is most likely to date from the Roman to post-medieval periods.
