A copper-alloy Rose and Orb jetton, probably of Nuremburg Master Wolf Lauffer II, c.1612-1651 AD. Similar to Mitchiner, 1988: no. 1719 although the obverse legend reads WOLFF, which is usually attributed to Wolf Laufer III (1650-1670 AD), perhaps indicating this jetton is a mule of two types belonging to Wolf II and Wolf III.

A post-medieval copper-alloy Nuremberg jetton of Wolf Lauffer II (fl. 1612-1651) dating to 1612-1651. Rose/orb type inscribed GOTTES GABEN SOL MAN L. Minted at Nuremberg. Mitchiner (1988, 485) no. 1716. It measures 20.7mm in diameter, thickness 0.5mm, and weighs 0.7g. The jetton has been perforated at its centre, through from the reverse side to the obverse but is in otherwise good condition.

A complete copper alloy jetton of post-medieval date. The jetton was struck in Nuremberg by Wolf Lauffer II, master from 1612 to his death in March 1651 and is of the rose and orb type. Obverse: (WOLF LAVFER) [IN NVRNBERG] around alternating crowns and lis with central rose. Reverse Inscription: (GOTTES SEGEN MACHT REICH) (God's blessing brings riches) around Imperial Orb within a tressure of three arches. The jetton is pierced at 11o'clock on the obverse. A similar jetton can be seen in Mitchiner, p.484, no.1709.
