A copper alloy Nuremberg jetton dating from 1515 - 1584 and issued by either Iorg or Hans Schultes. It is a rose orb type with the unusual "special" tressure of three simple arches with ornaments (annulets) in the external angles. The legends are fictitious. The jetton has been pierced at 2pm on the orb side. Compare examples in Mitchiner on pages 394 - 401, but there is not an exact parallel. The jetton has an uneven brown patina.

The surfaces are very worn and the jetton is pierced at about 12o'clock on the obverse. It measures 26.5mm diameter, 0.83mm thick and 2.93g. Obverse: winged lion of St. Mark of Venice, standing left, nimbate, holding Book of Gospels. '[...]SVCRGE'.
