An irregular piece of copper alloy with some resemblance to the distorted head of a Roman trumpet brooch: possibly a melted brooch section or casting waste. The object is in fair condition, is 22mm long, 15mm wide, 7mm thick and weighs 4.18g.

A fragment of curved copper alloy that may be part of the bow from a flattened Roman brooch, although the anterior and posterior ends appear to be smoothly cut or finished rather than broken. One end is plain and flared; the other is rounded and decorated with two horizontal grooves. The object is in poor condition, is 20mm long, 13mm wide, 5mm thick and weighs 4.52g.

unknown object, 38mm long, 20mm wide and 2mm thick. the object is in fair condition and weighs 6.01grams. It consists of a rectangular sectioned shaft, 10mm long, which has a slightly rounded upper surface. This terminates with a rectangular shaped plate, 20mm x 18mm, which has two semi-circular nicks removed from its outer edge, forming and edge which looks like a three pronged fork. The reverse of the shaft is flat and has a rectangular scar in its centre, which could be from a catch plate?

Roman copper alloy bird? brooch, 37mm long, 22mm wide and 18.4mm high. The object is in fair condition with a green patina and weighs 6.82grams. It consists of an open loop which has rope effect decoration on its upper surface. At one end is a bird head protuding upwards with a small catchplate directly below it. it has a sub triangular tail and an eleborate rectangular protrusion which houses the hinge for the pin? Roman copper alloy plate brooch, 41mm long, 8mm wide and 2mm thick. The brooch is in fair condition witha brownish patina and weighs. The brooch is in the form of a dagger or sword and consists of a semi-circular pommel with a short handle and projecting guard. The blade terminates in a point and one side has a sub triangular bulge. The blade and the pommel have raised edges and may have held enamel. The reverse has two semi-circular lugs sitting at the top of the blade and the remains of a catchplate can be seen just at its tip. The brooch has bent slightly in two places.

Roman copper alloy bow brooch 37mm long, 23mm wide and 5mm thick. The object is in poor/fair condition with a brown patina and weighs 8.73grams. The brooch consists of semi-circular sectioned wings which are missing the spring. They are decorated with a vertical incised line on either side of the bow. The bow is circular in section and is decorated with two linear incised lines running its length.

Roman copper alloy bow brooch 44mm long, 25mm wide and 10mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a green patina and weighs 9.19grams. The brooch has semi-circular sectioned wings which are missing the spring. The bow is sub circular in section and has a crest running over the wings and down the upper part of the bow. There are incised lines running the length of the outer front surface of the bow. There is a triangular catchplate emerging from the base of the bow which is incomplete.

Roman copper alloy trumpet brooch, 37mm long, 14mm wide and 9mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 6.11grams. It consists of a sub circular head plate with sub circular spring attachment and a pronounced ridge at the top of the attached bow. The bow has a crescent shaped protrusion flanked by rounded horizontal linear depressions. It has an intact stepped foot and most of its catchplate. The surface of which has traces of thick silvering.

Roman copper alloy plate brooch, 37mm in diameter and 15mm thick. The brooch is in fair condition and weighs 9.44grams. The brooch is missing part of its body, spring and pin. It has very ornate and unusual enamelled decoration, mostly consisting of millefiori cells.
The brooch consists of a central raised circular knop which appears to be plain? Surrounding this are three circles of enamel, the first being solid red. Roman copper alloy disc brooch fragment, 22mm long, 17mm wide, 4mm thick and weighing 1.58grams. The brooch is in poor condition with none of its original circular edge surviving. Its surface has a central circular hole which would have held a centre piece. This is surrounded by a thick raised circular band with traces of tinning. There are traces of another tinned band which would have formed the outer edge. The brooch has two semi-circular lugs for housing the pin, but this and the catchplate are not present.

Front part (bow and arms) of a Roman Colchester-derivative or Dolphin brooch. The dorsal surface of the bow has a longitudinal ridge terminating in a hook at the anterior end. The lateral faces of the bow are decorated with curved, beaded lines. Each arm is decorated with three raised, beaded ridges. The object is 20mm long, 30mm wide, 9mm thick, an weighs 5.9g.

It has plain circular sectioned wings which have traces of silvering on them. The bow is circular sectioned and plain except for two sub circular motifs which sit at the base of the ridge that runs over the bow up to the spring . It has a stepped foot and a triangular catchplate.

Roman copper alloy Headstud brooch, 29mm long, 20mm wide and 12mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 5.53grams. The object is missing its foot, pin and catchplate but has almost complete wings which are semi-circular and have a stepped decoration. The bow is sub-circular and has a worn circular head stud with two rows of triangular cells filled with red enamel, running its length.
