A Polden Hill brooch, of folded ends type, with most of the spring and pin missing. Three incomplete coils of the spring are loosely attached to the axis bar. Three grooves at the outer ends of the wings. In place of a rear-facing hook there is a forward facing notch-like one. The bow is of pentagonal section, with sharp median arris. The foot terminal is kicked forward. Wingspan 22.5mm. Length 28.5mm. Mid 1st century.
