One side shows decoration of horizontal recesses flanking a small ridge. The bow is sub rectangular in section and is decorated with two vertical ridges which appear to run its length. Roman copper alloy bow brooch, 45mm long, 12mm wide and 21mm deep. The object is in fair condition with a brown patina and weighs 18.38grams. The object consists of semi circular wings which contain a spring of 20 coils. The wings have raised, rounded terminals and a central raised ridge which is flanked by a linear incision. The bow is sub-circular in section and appears to be plain. It has snapped off just after it turns downwards and the brooch is very worn here, there is also an area of 'bubbling' on the underside, caused either by poor casting or corrosion?

Roman copper alloy umbonate brooch fragment, 19mm long, 14mm wide and 11mm thick. The brooch is in fair condition with a green patina and weighs 1.88grams. The fragment consists of an incomplete circular dome. This is decorated with elongated triangular enamel cells, of alternating blue and red colour. These cells are seperated by raised bands which terminate in a spherical knop in the fragments centre.

The brooch is in fair condition and weighs 7.06grams. The brooch is complete except for a catchplate and pin. It has an intact spring of 7 coils contained within its wings and has a sub rectangular bow which is decorated with two lines of stamped dots forming a ribbon down its length. A Roman copper alloy trumpet brooch dated between AD 75-175.The spring cover terminates in a hook which would have served to hold the spring and The bow is fragmentary and only the spring cover and bow remain. The foot, catch-plate and pin are absent. The bow is faceted in section, decorated as with moulded linear grooves. The bow bulges at the top of the bow curve, tapering towards the foot. It is 28.19 mm long, 14.84 mm wide, 12.60 mm thick and weighing 6.74 grams.
