2 brooches, 1 large, crude, bent (in situ) , crude type with single raised blue enamel boss below cast cu al boss on bow-ref. scan, v robust foot, hinged pin; 1 small, delicate example with truncated suspension loop, very lines of white? Enamel infilling wings, deltoid enamelled recesses bow and truncated circular mid bow below, c 50 % compete. , larger one untreated, other with unknown chem.

Very elaborately enamelled-refer to scanned image. Axis bar obscured by soil matrix. Coiled spring, truncated at pin, axis bar ends. Wings extinct, undecorated reverse bow. Head-stud type brooch with moulded circular stud. The bow is decorated triangular and diamond-shaped cells (no trace of enamel). The brooch is broken approximately half along the bow, the suspension loop has been lost and the pin is missing. The wings are decorated by a series of parallel lines.

This brooch has a cast headstud, which is decorated with red enamel. Below the headstud and running the entire length of the spine are 12 recesses filled with alternating red and white enamel. The foot is cast, as is the suspension loop. The catchplate is incomplete and two thirds of the pin is missing.

This brooch had a riveted headstud, now missing. Below the headstud and running the entire length of the spine is a raised spine. The upper surface of the spring housing is decorated on each side by three red enamelled cells. The foot also had a riveted stud. There is no evidence of there being a suspension loop. The catchplate is incomplete and the pin is missing.

This brooch had a riveted headstud, now missing. Below the headstud and running the entire length of the spine is a series of 19 lozenge-shaped cells of blue enamel. On each side of this central line of cells are 19 triangular cells of red enamel. This pattern (comprising 3 blue and 4 red cells) is repeated on the the upper surface of the spring housing and on the lug below the suspension loop. The foot would also have had a riveted stud. The catchplate and the pin are complete.
