An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman Wroxeter brooch. The wings/bow head is an inverted 'D' shape which has an integral plate protruding from the upper edge. The plate is off-set has an abraded upper edge which probably originally had a perforation. The reverse of the bow head is hollow and has an integral lug at either side, with a circular perforation. Romano-British brooch of the type refered to by Hattatt as 'tutulus type'. Its body is in the form of a low cone on the apex of which is a cup-like finial with a small central boss. Around the cone was 4mm wide band on the edge of which were small protrusions, two of which survive. On the back is the remains of the pin-lug, now broken. The brooch was damaged in anitquity.

Two narrow ribs run down the length of the bow between which is a raised wavey liner alloy brooch of . These diverge at the head of the brooch. Either side of the ribs is a series of low, leaf-shaped bosses each defined by narrow ribs around its edges. The underside of the bow bears a narrow, longitudinal rib giving it a 'T' shaped section. The underside of the wings are hollow to accommodate the coiled spring.

An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill (Mackreth Group 4, flat wing ends type), Mackreth 2011, 4.d, pg. 73, Plate 47. The majority of the brooch survives consisting of the head, part of the bow and the wings. The foot, spring, part of the bow and catch plate are missing. In plan, the brooch is almost T-shaped, and oval in cross section. the bow is broken just below the remains of the catch plate and the foot is missing. Homeland is Lower Severn Valley and probably the Avon. The wings are semi-cylindrical with perforated wing caps at each terminal, however one wing is incomplete.
