Possible fragment of a mis-cast Romano-British trumpet brooch. The bow is truncated and the underside of the trumpet bears two low, shapeless protrusions. From the end of the brooch a 2.8mm diameter x 6.7mm long bar. The mouth of the trumpet is well-formed but is asymmetric with a protrusion on one of its sides.

A Roman brooch of Colchester derivative Polden Hill (Mackreth Group 4, flat wing ends type), Mackreth 2011, 4.b. Plate 46. Dating AD 80-120. The copper alloy brooch is incomplete with most of the bow missing. The wings are semi-cylindrical, and terminate with an incomplete perforated wing cap. The wings are undecorated. At the upper edge of the wings and bow head there is an integral lug which would have held the chord in place. The axis bar, spring and pin are missing. Foot from a copper alloy brooch probably of Hod Hill type. The fragment retains the catch plate, its edge curved to retain the pin. There is a transverse moulding on the top of the bow either side of which are two narrower mouldings. On the end of the foot is a small, disc-like,terminal. Traces of silvering survive on the upper surface.

Romano-British brooch of the type refered to by Hattatt as 'tutulus type'. Its body is in the form of a low cone on the apex of which is a cup-like finial with a small central boss. Around the cone was 4mm wide band on the edge of which were small protrusions, two of which survive. On the back is the remains of the pin-lug, now broken. The brooch was damaged in anitquity.

Fragment of a Roman copper alloy brooch of Headstud type. Bow with an oval stud on it, this has a hollow centre in which is a small boss. A narrow rib runs down the length of the bow towards the foot. The head is narrow and, on its hollowed underside, is the remains of a hinged pin.

Roman copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill (Mackreth Group 4, flat wing ends type, West Midlands), Mackreth 2011, 4.d. Plate 47. Narrow bow with a small expanded terminal on the end of the foot. Across the terminal runs a narrow groove dividing it into two parts. A rib runs down the head of the brooch, slightly expanding towards the wings. On each side of the head is a pad from which spring the wings. The underside of the wings is hollowed to contain the coiled spring.

Fragment of a Romano-British brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill type (Mackreth Group 8, flat wing ends, southern England), cf. Mackreth 2011, 8. Plate 53. Flattened bow with a groove down each side. On the bow is a raised lentoid pellet connected to the spring fitting by a low, broad rib and cuts in the middle part of each side of the bow. Plain wings, hollowed beneath to hold the coiled spring. This type is strongly represented in Somerset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire.

Roman copper-alloy brooch of Colchester derivative Polden Hill (flat wing ends type, West Midlands), Mackreth 2011, 4.i1. Plate 47. Bow ornate with cast mouldings. Two narrow ribs run down the length of the bow between which is a raised wavey liner alloy brooch of . These diverge at the head of the brooch. Either side of the ribs is a series of low, leaf-shaped bosses each defined by narrow ribs around its edges. The underside of the bow bears a narrow, longitudinal rib giving it a 'T' shaped section. The underside of the wings are hollow to accommodate the coiled spring.

Copper alloy trumpet brooch. Highly decorated, surface covered with deeply cast, curvilinear mouldings. No trace of enamelling. Foot of the brooch keeled and bore a row of ringed-dots down each side (now mostly lost to corrosion). Two incised lines ran down the length of crest of the foot with two further lines each side.
