A possible incomplete cast lead alloy or lead pattern for the manufacture of a two part Colchester derivative brooch. The brooch pattern has wings which on the reverse have an off-set surface, and are not cylindrical as perhaps may have been expected. In the centre of the reverse of the wings there is a slightly high-relief oval platform where normally this is the deepest area of the cylindrical wings of a brooch such as a Polden Hill brooch, The upper edge of the wings is slightly angular and the wing terminals are asymmetrical.
