Copper alloy with silver Brooch. Tiny cast zoomorphic brooch. A three-dimensional and naturalistically modelled mouse holds a nut or seed, with the stub of a pin hinged between two lugs below its hindquarters. The tail begins as an integrally cast stub but is apparently continued by ten silvery granules (a length of beaded silver wire) curling across the end of the mouse's back. Dark grey patches may represent the rendition of eyes in another medium than copper alloy, and the ears are perhaps emphasised with a semi-circular punch. The small size of this object makes it difficult to…

An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman variant of the pelta plate brooch. The flat crescent shaped brooch has a row of three ring and dots at the end of the curved arms to create a full circle. Inside each of the rings are the remains of yellow enamel and a spur at the both ends of the row, suggests that the brooch is incomplete. The wide part of the crescent has a row of lozenges which decrease in size as the crescent becomes smaller and have the remains of yellow enamel behind. The centre of the brooch is openwork and on the inside edge of the crescent are two incomplete projections.…

Copper alloy Brooch. Flat cast Zoomorphic Plate Brooch, probably representing a hare - hound or mouse might also be possibilities – a tiny lug represents the tail. A two-coil spring and the stub of a pin remain on reverse, as does a folded unpierced catch-plate, now slightly damaged.
