Anglo-Saxon circular lead brooch, with openwork cross in middle, and sunken rectangules and groups of three pellets around, all within a ladder-pattern border. Lowered border around edge, now mainly missing but where present decorated with raised ribs ending in pellets. Compare LIN-2666B7, NLM-A6CCD1, NLM-C02993. This example is cited by Weetch as part of her Type 13.D (2013, no. 516).

Foot fragment of a square headed brooch. Animal head terminal, parts of catchplate. Lobes with stamped decoration. Helen Geake writes: The image attached to this record shows the lower part of a cruciform brooch, and the description seems to match this too. The image is of a horse-head terminal with the remains of a lappet to either side of a flat panel decorated with stamped ornament. This dates to the sixth century AD. The entry in the classification field has therefore been changed from 'square headed' to 'cruciform'.
