Cast copper alloy brooch of 'bow and fantail' type, expanded fantail foot bears three incised triangles containing red enamel. Bow plain, expanded wings about with was loop, now missing. Heavy pin with a hinge type mechanism. Brooch bears some signs of distortion.

Copper alloy brooch. Cast dragonesque brooch, Mackreth type DRAG 3.c2. A curvilinear teardrop shaped plate bears a series of three rectangular cells with a triangular cell at either end; the end and central cells bear (now) brick red enamel traces and the outer two rectangular cells contain (now) green enamel. A curvilinear head has a hemispherical eye or protruding part moulded in relief with a basal rib; the lower end is a smaller version of the same form.
