An incomplete copper alloy Roman Headstud brooch dating from AD 75-200. The brooch is missing part of its pin, foot and catchplate. The head has a the stump of a projecting loop at the front. The wings are small and rectangular and decorated with moulded ridges. The underside of the head has a tube which retains a copper alloy spindle which would have hinged the pin, which is now missing. The bow is strongly curved and decorated with a moulded boss near the head, which has a raised centre within a rim. Behind this is a line of lozengiform cells bound by triangular cells to either side…

An incomplete gilded copper alloy Roman 'composite gilded spoked disc' brooch, also known as a 'wheel' type and dating to c. AD 100-300. Part of the edge is missing (as is most of the gilding) the pin and its fixing mechanism to the reverse are also lost (with no trace as to what the fixing mechanism might have been). A complete, two piece, copper alloy middle Iron Age brooch (c.350-150 BC). The head is formed by two circular lobes or 'ears' each with a circular hole (off centre). The high bow form an elongated oval decorated with four vertical lines, comprising two paralell inner lines contained by a single line to each side which bends slightly at each end.
