A fragment of a cast copper alloy Roman brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill (Mackreth 2011, Part 3, Group 5.a3., flat wing ends type, Western Group). The wings are semi-cylindrical with wing caps. Each cap has a central perforation which supports a copper alloy axis bar. Around the axis bar the spring is coiled, forming five incomplete coils, a pin, of which only approximately three-quarters of the pin remains, and a horizontal bar. Foot from a copper alloy brooch probably of Hod Hill type. The fragment retains the catch plate, its edge curved to retain the pin. There is a transverse moulding on the top of the bow either side of which are two narrower mouldings. On the end of the foot is a small, disc-like,terminal. Traces of silvering survive on the upper surface.

Roman copper-alloy brooch of Colchester derivative Polden Hill (flat wing ends type, West Midlands), Mackreth 2011, 4.i1. Plate 47. Bow ornate with cast mouldings. Two narrow ribs run down the length of the bow between which is a raised wavey liner alloy brooch of . These diverge at the head of the brooch. Either side of the ribs is a series of low, leaf-shaped bosses each defined by narrow ribs around its edges. The underside of the bow bears a narrow, longitudinal rib giving it a 'T' shaped section. The underside of the wings are hollow to accommodate the coiled spring.

Copper alloy trumpet brooch. Highly decorated, surface covered with deeply cast, curvilinear mouldings. No trace of enamelling. Foot of the brooch keeled and bore a row of ringed-dots down each side (now mostly lost to corrosion). Two incised lines ran down the length of crest of the foot with two further lines each side. A cast copper alloy Roman brooch. In plan the brooch is a lozenge with slightly concave edges. Each corner has an integral knop, the side corners have a single knop the upper and lower corners have a bifurcated knop. In the centre there is a bulbous headed decorative rivet whose stem on the reverse is bent over to secure it in place. The rivet head is actually a circular cell which appears to be filled with a substance, possibly enamel which is slightly domed in profile.
