A complete late Roman oval gilded copper-alloy plate brooch with an intact copper-alloy sprung pin. Centrally is a conical raised glass setting within an inner frame of stamped crosses and an outer frame of stamped pellets. The remains of a white metal coating survives on the reverse.

An incomplete Roman copper-alloy developed T-shape brooch dating to the period c. AD 50 - 150. Part of the pin and the catchplate is missing. The brooch measures 20.3mm in width across the wings, is 3.9mm thick, 37.9mm in length and weighs 5.09g. A very well-preserved and unusual Roman trumpet-type brooch of somewhat angular form. The brooch is made from copper-alloy with a high tin content and has panels of red enamel. The colour of the metal is a uniform mid-grey. The brooch has a circular head on the top of which is a circular loop, now broken. A copper alloy Roman umbonate plate brooch dating to the period AD 100-250. The brooch is missing the end of the catchplate and has been bent. Part of the decorated plate is damaged. Copper alloy Roman plate brooch, of zoomorphic design in the shape of a horse facing right (but also see Hattatt 2007 p 359 fig 218 no 1181). It is considerably abraded and features such as ears and tail may be broken off. The front face has three recesses consisting of a circular recess, rectangular recess and a rectangular recess with a curved terminal. The reverse is flat except for the projecting lug and catchplate. The coil of the spring survives within the lug. The pin is missing. It is 28.04mm long, 17.79mm wide at its widest, 2.20mm thick and weighs 2.99 grams.

The pin was sprung and at the break the spring is rectangular-sectioned (2.3mm wide and 0.8mm thick) and is coiled from the spring.
