A complete copper alloy Roman P-shaped brooch with returned foot (continental in origin) and intact iron pin. It measures 93.48mm and weighs 27.93g. The wingspan is 44.27mm and tubular, housing an intact axis bar c.3-3.5mm in diameter. The ends are open but flanked by a c.3mm wide wrap-around sheet metal knop of a brassy copper alloy, certainly a different metal composition from the rest of the brooch. A complete Roman or Anglo-Saxon copper-alloy openwork disc brooch, measuring 33.42mm in length (inclusive of pin) and 31.44mm in diameter. It weighs 7.04g.
