The wings are semi-cylindrical with wing cap terminals which each have a hole in to support the axis bar. Decoration on the wings are two vertical grooves at each terminal. The bow head has a small loop at the top. From this loop a triangular ridge forms continuing down the centre of the bow as decoration. The bow is incomplete, broken before the catchplate starts. The spring and pin are also missing.

The hinge mechanism of the brooch is incomplete. Only a fragment of the casing remains. The body of the brooch is triangular with a base corner having a moulded knop. The other base corner is incomplete. Vertical ribbing decorates this potion of the brooch. There is a vertical shaft leading down from the centre of the main body which is incomplete. This shaft has horizontal ribbed moulding as decoration. On the reverse of the shaft there is the remains of a catchplate.

The bow and catchplate remain, however the bow head does not remain. The bow is relatively flat, with a wide flat reverse. The bow has a 'W' shaped section. This section changes when the catchplate starts. The foot of the bow is an oval shaped knop with a flat reverse. The catchplate is solid and is triangular shape.

The wings and bow head are missing. The bow upper portion has moulded edges is flat on the reverse. The central portion of the bow is sub-square shaped with a elongated knop on the left-hand edge. The opposite edge is broken. In the centre of this portion there is a vertical ridge as decoration. The lower portion of the bow has vertical ridges as the bow tapers to a point. On the reverse there are the incomplete remains of the catchplate.

The wings are semi-cylindrical with wing caps. The wing caps support the axis bar around which the spring is coiled. However the spring is corroded and distorted. The bow head is rectangular in section and is angled at 90° which then leads to the bow. At the top of the bow head there is a small hook. The bow gradually tapers, but is incomplete. Decoration on the bow consists of a vertical groove which is interrupted by a high-relief arrowhead. The reverse of the bow still has the remains of the upper portion of the catchplate. Traces of tinning.

A prominent spring surrounds the axis bar, with a horizontal bar across the top of the spring is pulled backwards and is supported by a hook. The bow is incomplete. The bow is flat with vertical moulding that on the upper surface forms a 'W' shaped profile. The bow then narrows forming a rounded knop which is then incomplete. The reverse of the bow is flat and plain.

The wings are tubular with a central gap in the centre. Within the tubular wings is an axis bar, but no wing caps. There is no pin. The bow is plain and trapezoidal in section. The only decoration on the bow is two horizontal incised lines at the apex of the bow's curve. The bow is very curved. The catchplate is complete and has a triangular openwork as decoration.

The bow head/wings is sub-rectangular with leaf-shaped moulding forming an inverted 'V' as decoration. On the reverse of the bow head is a vertical incomplete lug with a hole in the centre. The bow is angular and forms a right-angle to the bow head. The bow is heavily moulded with two deep grooves either side of a central ridge. This then tapers sharply and expands with a horizontal, semi-circular in section, component. The bow is incomplete an is broken here. The reverse of the bow is plain. There are traces of tinning on both faces of the bow.
