A copper alloy Roman brooch which is 45.5mm long, 20.4mm wide and 21.3mm thick. It is a South-Western T-shaped brooch which is an unusual find in the North. It has short wings which are actually a tubular housing from the hinged pin axis bar. There is a thickened rib at the outer end of each wing. A slightly flattened head loop projects from the top of the centre of the bow. The top third of the bow is rectangular and is decorated with enamel. Part of a cast, copper alloy Roman brooch probably of the bow and fantail type, dating from 50-150AD. Only the lower half of the bow survives. The fan-shaped foot is incised with a border which closely follows the edge, creating a narrow, raised rim. In the centre is a rectangular decorated panel. This is divided into central lozenge shaped cells and triangular cells at the edge. The three lozenges shaped cells are filled with faded and decayed enamel. A copper alloy Roman plate brooch probably dating from the second century. The brooch is rectangular and has zoomorphic decoration of two swans, their bodies facing each other but their heads looking back over their bodies. Between them is a circular pellet. The design is in copper alloy with a background of red enamel set within a copper alloy border. Small copper-alloy Hod Hill type brooch. The top is turned over and slotted for the pin bar and the hinged pin (which are both missing)to be housed. The brooch narrows from the hinge and expands again slightly towards a narrow raised band. below this is a narrow panel with a projection at each side forming a cross with rounded terminals. The body of the brooch expands again taowards another raised band, gradually narrows along the length of the body in front of the catch plate to a small raised band above the foot knop. The turned outside edge of catch-plate is broken.

A copper alloy Roman headstud brooch dating from AD 75 - 200. The rectangular wings hide a tubular housing for the copper alloy axis bar and the remains of the copper alloy pin. There is a raised ridge on the head of the brooch above the headstud; a pseudo forward hook. The lower half of a Roman trumpet brooch dating from AD 75 - 175. The upper bow and head are missing and the break is worn and patinated. The acanthus button moulding is on the front of the bow only. It has three petals above and three below a central plain collar, and the whole is flanked by a further plain collar above and below. The lower bow is faceted so it is triangular in section. The foot is worn and rounded. The catchplate is almost complete. The brooch has a smooth brown green patina. It is 39.5mm long, 6.9mm wide and 13.4mm thick. 3.71g.

A copper alloy Roman Trumpet brooch fragment dating from AD 75 - 175. Only the middle part of the bow survives. The bow has a faceted front and is a rounded lozenge shape in section. There is a triple collar above, and one below, the central acanthus button. The button continues round the back of the bow, but is more pronounced on the front. It consists of a trefoil (three petalled) upper and lower tier and a central band with lozenge shaped bulged in the angles of the outer bands. Both breaks are patinated.
