An enamelled copper-alloy plate brooch of Roman date. .The central part of the plate is circular in plan and has an applied copper-alloy knob at its middle. Surrounding this knob is a concentric cell filled with orange enamel; around the orange ring is a second concentric cell, this time filled with an alternating pattern of blue and white rectangular enamel insets.Three parallel grooves decorate the vertical outer face of the central disc. Incomplete bow and fantail brooch. The hinge wings and pin are missing. The main feature of the brooch consists of a circular cell with six cells radiating from it, some of which contain red enamel though its not clear what colour the others contained. The central wheel is surrounded by a deep concentric channel. this has two triangular lugs springing from opposite sides. From the lower side of the circle springs a triangular foot section with a marginal groove and four triangular cells, two of which have more red enamel. The catchplate extends behind this triangular section.

An almost complete Roman, Hod Hill type, copper alloy brooch.The pin is missing but the body of the brooch remains. The sub-rectangular head terminates in a cylinder formed by rolling the terminal back round on itself with a central pin slot. Below the cylinder the head narrows gradually to a waist above a transverse ridge. Below this is the bow, flanked between transverse ridges. A fragment of a copper alloy bow brooch dating to the first or second centuries AD. The fragment comprises the foot and openwork catchplate of the brooch. It is evident that the bow was originally D sectioned in shape and possessed a central, longitudinal rib running its length. The catchplate is openwork and has a sub-triangular cut-out.

An incomplete Roman copper alloy two-piece Colchester derivative, double lug, Harlow brooch (AD43-100). The brooch has a plate at the back of the head which is pierced twice; the axis bar for the spring passes through the lower hole and the external chord through the upper hole. The spring has ten turns and it is broken in four sections. The arms of the brooch has semi-circular covering the spring. An incomplete Roman copper alloy Colchester-derivative bow brooch with rear hook (43 - 65 AD). The find consists of the bow and head of a Colchester-derivative bow brooch, the pin, spring and catchplate are missing. Two loops on the reverse of the head of the brooch would have housed the pin bar and the chord. These, along with the pin, are now missing. A copper alloy enamelled headsttud Roman brooch, 'of Hull type 145B. The brooch has a curved rectangular bow, tapering slightly to a conical foot terminal. A fragment of a Roman brooch, probably of Headstud type. A small part of the spring survives with three coils remaining. The pin and catch plate are missing, along with the lower bow and foot. The upper bow tapers and is slightly convex close to the wings. The bow has a single raised indentation at the top and there is raised zig zag decoration down the bow which originally would have held enamel. The remains of the loop at the top of the head. The object has a light green patina.

The brooch is a pelta shape, very bowed with some red and yellow enamel remaining in the corroded cells. The cells around the curved outer edge are triangular, moving inwards there are 3 further bands of cells which are square followed by half-circle, followed by a further band of triangles. A slightly corroded but nevertheless still impressive very large Thistle brooch. The brooch has cylindrical wings which have corrosion damage at both ends, the obverse is decorated with multiple rayed engraved lines. The brooch is incomplete, broken off before the 'foot', which is missing. The wings are sub-cylindrical, slightly 'flattened on the reverse, and completely enclose the spring and axis bar except for a small rectangular 'slot' on the reverse where the remains of the pin exit, and on the end plates which are pierced to hold the axis bar. An incomplete plate brooch, the entire outer edge is corroded/broken off and missing, but appears to have been decorated with a moulded rope motif, and gilded. A slightly dished central circular cell has a central 'nipple'. No fill remains in the cell. The reverse shows the remains of heavy white metal coating and a small stump of raised integrally cast copper-alloy shows where the catchplate or possible a single pin bar lug was.
