Copper alloy brooch fragment. Upper part only, missing pin and part spring; damaged front of bow. Wings have 6mm flaps folded around axis bar; six-turn spring in between with chord held by a rear hook. Single terminal and angled grooves on wings. Oval section bow with perhaps two centre grooves. Width 27mm, surviving length 23mm. Type as West Stow no. 160, detail of wings closer to LMD 074.

A cast copper-alloy incomplete rosette or thistle brooch of the late Iron Age to early Roman period, c. AD 1-50. The brooch is incomplete, missing the sprung pin and catchplate, though the main body of the brooch is fairly complete, if worn. The brooch has a backing plate cast integral with the semi-cylindrical head and bow, forming a basic T-shape in planview, but with a rounded centre in the plate and a rectangular foot. Incomplete copper-alloy Roman Dolphin brooch of spring pin fitting type. The wings, bow and catchplate survive. The head of the brooch has the classic swollen hump appearance of a Dolphin Brooch but the lugs for attaching the axis bar and spring are missing. The pin, spring and axis bar are all also missing. Copper alloy brooch fragment, half only, missing pin. Pin was hinged between two close set lugs behind the terminal knob. Lozenge shaped plate is slightly bowed and has a transverse notched rib and notching on a slight crest and a central band with decorated panels - the outer panels have 4-petal motifs, the central one has two pairs of angled lines, all probably originally containing niello but now mostly whitish corrosion. Copper alloy brooch, enamelled lozenge with zoomorphic terminals. Missing the catchplate terminal, pin; damaged hinge end terminal, corroded, little surviving enamel. Pin was hinged on two close-set lugs. Terminal has traces of punched circle eyes and punched arc "scales". The lozenge plate is slightly stepped up from the terminal; it has four deep (1.3mm) circular hollows, none of which contain any surviving enamel, bounded by a 4mm diameter circle. Copper alloy dragonesque brooch. Missing both terminals and corroded but found with damaged pin still associated. S-shape outline. The pin has two longitudinal grooves on the front of the attachment coil. There is a projection from the central body towards the head to enclose the pin attachment area. The body has two areas of relief curvilinear decoration meeting at, but not completely symmetrical about, a central line; unfortunately some of the detail is obscured by corrosion.
