A Roman plate brooch in the form of the sole of a shoe. The pits are intended to represented hobnails and there are possible traces of red enamel. The hinge and part of the pin also survive but the catchplate is broken.

An incomplete cast copper alloy trumpet derivative brooch of early Roman date. The brooch measures 44.8mm by 21.2mm by 13.8mm and weighs 27.7g. The wings are incomplete but appear to have been semi-cylindrical originally, in order to hide the spring for the (missing) pin. A small amount of iron corrosion in the centre of the back of the wings suggests that the pin was made of iron. The thick bow has a rectangular cross-section and projects forward into a large knop, presumably derived from the acanthus knops on trumpet brooches. In the centre of the upper edge of the wings there is a small integral rectangular sectioned down-turned hook. The wings are decorated with a pair of transverse linear grooves. A Roman cast copper alloy plate brooch. The brooch is sub-circular in plan, with a small portion of the edge being abraded and incomplete. The upper surface of the brooch is decorated with a central annulet surrounded by six evenly spaced pellets. There are traces of red enamel on the field around the pellets. The border of the brooch has a high-relief lip. On the reverse there are two integral lugs, at opposite edges. Roman brooch; Small, cast, copper alloy T-shaped brooch of 1st century date. The brooch has very small, almost vestigial, wings of oval cross-section. The wings house the pin spring coil, all four loops of which still remain, although the pin itself is missing. The brooch has the remains of a loop extending from the top. The bow tapers smoothly to a flared, flattened foot. There is no extant decoration.

Roman brooch; fragment of cast copper alloy bow brooch – head and start of wings only. Very worn. The fragment has the beginnings of both wings, worn to rounded points and flattened. Nothing of the pin spring or the back of the wings remains. The head of the bow is present, also worn to a rounded point. No indication of decoration remains. The metal has a thick, grey-green patina over its surface.

Roman brooch; Incomplete cast copper alloy dolphin brooch dating to the 1st century. One wing missing. The remaining wing is a broad and slightly flattened cylindrical shape. It is decorated with an incised hatched band which runs diagonally from the inner side of the end of the wing towards the middle of the outer side of the wing, near the start of the bow. A copper alloy Hod Hill type brooch dating to the first century AD. A small portion of the rolled over headplate with pin recess extends to a rectangular bow with vertical ribbed mouldings. From the bow there extend two tapering wings which are also vertically ribbed. The leg, which is also horizontally ribbed, tapers slightly and ends in a rounded foot. The catchplate is trapezoidal and runs the whole length of the leg. The brooch measures 41mm in length, 26mm in width.

The bow is narrower towards the head, expanding towards the foot, where after a slight recess, the foot expands out into a globular form.
