A miniature Medieval gold openwork lozenge shaped brooch dating from the 13th to 14th century. The brooch consists of a thin lozenge-shaped frame with four integrally cast and evenly spaced collets wit a moulded ridge each side. Three of the four collets contain a small green stone, possibly emerald. There is a constriction at one angle which contains the intact pin. The reverse is undecorated. Similar examples can be seen on the database - NLM-D6FC71 and DOR-F31C46. The brooch is 15.5mm long, 15.5mm wide, 2.4mm thick and weighs 0.94 grams.

Two opposing apexes of the frame are moulded into three-dimensional clasped hands. The thumbs and fingers of each hand are clearly defined and grooves above each suggest knuckles. A gold and gem medieval brooch of 12th century date. The brooch is annular, circular in plan with eight raised collets set equally spaced around the frame. Each collet contains a gem of alternating garnets and sapphires. Between each gem is a raised boss with punched decoration and surmounted by an open fruit pod. Both the internal and external edge of the frame is beaded. The pod with seeds within and the remains of the flower beyond it, most probably represents the fruit of the broom. A gold annular brooch. The object is circular in shape, triangular in section and terminates in two clasped hands. There are two quatrefoils or flower motifs, cast in relief onto the outer surface which is formed of two facets from the triangular section of the object. One motif is opposite the clasped hands, whilst the other is opposite a constriction in the frame, onto which the pin is attached. Treasure reference 2017 T708: a medieval gold annular brooch. The frame is circular in plan and in section, and has a restriction for the pin. The pin is intact, and has a small decorative collar next to the terminal loop. The pin tapers to the terminal. The brooch is dated to the Medieval period, 13th to 14th centuries. Similar brooches have been taken through the Treasure Act (1996), for example 2010 T330 from the Isle of Wight, 2008 T124 from North Yorkshire, and 2015 T821 from Princethorpe, Warwickshire.
