An incomplete gold dog brooch of uncertain date, possibly early Post-Medieval. This three dimensional brooch seems to have been hollow or at least the body was hollow. The dog is positioned left with the head turned forwards. One ear is missing however the ear nearest the tail survives in good condition. All four legs are missing and there is a break across the chest area that is now filled with mud. The curled tail survives. A miniature medieval brooch, roughly oval in shape, and terminating in two joined hands. The brooch has two facets which carry an enigmatic inscription, punctuated by flowers and colons. Reading clockwise from the pin, the letters are On the inner band N V I V N: I I M I N I On the outer band: V I I I T I: I: I - I I V L V I (?)I The meaning of this is unclear, but may have magical or amuletic significance. The two hands may once have held a pearl, which is customary for brooches of this type. The brooch is gold, and dates from the thirteenth century.

A gold brooch formed into the shape of an asymmetric heart. Such brooches were used as love tokens during this period and some surviving examples carry inscriptions of amatory intent. This brooch lacks any inscription. A 14th century, asymmetric heart brooch, richly enamelled with flowers, can be found in the British Museum (Af 2701). The brooch consists of a thin lozenge-shaped frame with four integrally cast and evenly spaced collets wit a moulded ridge each side. Description: Incomplete Borre-style composite openwork gold lozengiform brooch of the late Anglo-Saxon period, now in four joining pieces, with some distortion and damage to the broken edges and one terminal missing. Description: Fragment of an applied gold disc from the centre of an early medieval composite disc brooch. The fragment is part of the curved edge of the disc. Around the outer edge is a border of fine gold beaded wire. The flat part of the disc is decorated with tiny annulets of gold beaded wire and the remains of three settings. One is circular with a collar made from gold strip, now flattened, within a border of gold beaded wire. The setting is now empty and the centre is pierced. The mount comprises a gold baseplate, slightly crumpled, cut to a curved tapering form with a straight wide end, to fit the recessed cell of a (now missing) gilt bronze or silver penannular or pseudo-penannular brooch. The outer face of the baseplate is decorated with a spherical blue glass bead set in a gold collar, and a pattern of S- and Z-scrolls delineated by beaded wire (filigree) and other motifs (C-scrolls with central scrolled stems) within a plain beaded wire border. An incomplete gold strip brooch dating to the Middle Anglo-Saxon period. The brooch comprises a flat, elongated lozengiform plate, slightly asymmetrical in shape, tapering towards wire-like terminals which have been hammered into a square section. One terminal forms a closed loop and the other an open hook, representing the remains of a pin mechanism. The front of the plate is decorated with a border of triangular notches, irregularly spaced and sized. Some heavy scratches are present. The back of the brooch is undecorated.
