A gold pennanular brooch. The panannular frame is 26mm in diameter and 3mm wide. It is decorated with floriate design which appears to have been etched into a wider sheet and then shaped into its current form. The terminals are domed and adorned with filigree (alternate triangles and circles) and topped with a square cut green glass stone which sits atop the dome. the base and green glass have filigree borders. An incomplete late Post-Medieval to Modern gold brooch set with purple gem-stones. This incomplete artefact weighs 1.22g. It has an asymmetrical ovoid shape, having one wider rounded end and tapering to a point at the other end, that curves over to one side. The shape could also be described as an asymmetrical falling water-droplet (tear-drop) shape. Overall the brooch measures 17.3mm x 13.1mm with a thickness of 2.2mm.
