Glass intaglio on a small oval copper alloy plate. The glass is black and has a moulded design of a head to the left , fairly simple in style on a triangular neck. Diameters 13mm x 11.5mm, 2mm thick. This setting was originally in the centre of an oval brooch (see Hattattt's "oval enamelled brooches with intaglio" group, nos 1207-1209, 1653)of British type which mostly had similar heads where the settings survive. Reported to Cambridge University by present owner who purchased it.

A complete red glass paste intaglio from a plate brooch of Roman date, c.AD 100 - 300. The intaglio is ovate and sits within a thin copper-alloy setting. The intaglio features a crude design, possibly a crude bust, though it cannot be sufficiently distinguished. The object is 15.7mm long, 13.4mm wide, 2.2mm thick and weighs 1.1g.

Late Post Medieval to Modern dress brooch, initially thought to be coloured paste and yellow metal. After recording the finder took it for examination by a jeweller who stated it to be gold and topaz. The former was thought to be more likely as there are no assay marks though these are not always present on jewellery. The brooch consists of a highly ornate frame consisting of swags, coronets and finials in gold.
