Incomplete copper alloy T-shaped brooch, length 27mm, width 27mm, thickness 9mm, weight 7.39g. Tubular wings which hold the pin axis bar, there is a slot in the centre rear of the wings for the pin, the top half of which remains. The sides of the head are expanded, that top of the head is decorated with three raised diamond shaped cells that contain traced of enamel. The bow is truncated just below the head resulting in the loss of the catchplate. Date 70-150

Roman copper alloy trumpet brooch that has a sub-oval head plate that is surmounted by a truncated loop. On the reverse are two rearward facing perforated lug that would have held the spring support bar. The bow emanates from the front of the head plate and is undecorated, there would have been a moulded knee but the bow is truncated just before this resulting in the loss of the rest of the bow. A Very poorly cast and copper alloy sprung dolphin brooch that has the remains of a rearwards facing hook at the top of the head that would have held the spring. The front of the brooch has a number of angled ridges on each side but the poor quality of the casting has resulted in the loss of the examples from the right side and giving the brooch an asymmetrical form. The lower part of the bow is truncated resulting in the loss of the catch plate. Date 43-65AD

Copper alloy brooch of developed T-shaped of Hull T139; Colchester derivative hinged (Mackreth 2011, Group 2a, pl. 68 that has a loop at the top and tubular wings which hold the pin axes bar, there is a slot in the centre rear of the wings for the pin, the pin is missing. The top half of the bow is decorated with two long rectangular cells that each contain a stamped chevron pattern, the lower half of the bow is undecorated. The catch plate on the reverse is closed. Date 100-199. The bow is broken in two, this is a clean breaking suggesting it was cut rather than snapped in half.

~~Copper alloy Polden Hill brooch of Eastern Group. It has rearward facing flanged lugs on either end of the wings hold the pin axis bar (one wing is missing). A rearwards facing loop at the back of the head would have held the external cord of the spring. Small shoulders flank the head which is decorated with two grooves forming a V-shape, the rest of the brooch is undecorated. The lower part of the brooch is truncated resulting in the loss of the catch plate. Date 80-120AD

The lower bow, foot and catchplate only of a Roman brooch, probably a trumpet derivative of the 1st or 2nd century AD. The head of the brooch has been truncated form the moulded bow. The remaining detailing has a circular stud and moulded knee below that would have formed the apex of the bow.  The lower leg is undecorated and terminates in a mould foot, catch plat on the reverse is complete.

Copper alloy Aucissa brooch that has rolled tubular wings (now distorted) that would have held the pin axis bar, there is a slot in the rear for the pin, which is now missing. The bow is a sup-rectangular strip gradually narrows to the bottom. The face is decorated with two narrow grooves that run down either side and a wide groove that runs down the centre. The lower part of the bow has been truncated.
