Romano-British oval gilt plate brooch in very battered condition, setting, all of edge, pin, and most of pin lug and catchplate missing. Moulded decoration on the flange around the setting consists of a ring of zig-zag within a ring of ring-and-dot. The setting would probably have been a glass “Centre-boss”, cf. Hattatt nos. 172-3 etc. >30 x 20mm. 2nd century.
