Fragment of a cast copper alloy cruciform brooch of the Early Medieval period. The object is very worn. There are wings, giving the object a truncated T-shaped plan. The base of the object has two wide, slightly raised bands. There is a rounded catchplate perpendicular to the reverse of the brooch. A similar example is known from Coddenham, Suffolk.

Cast copper alloy foot, probably of a cruciform brooch. The surviving portion of the foot shows a zoomorphic design of a stylised animal head, created with mouldings and ridges in relief. Behind the head the recessed face hides the catchplate. The object is broken just above the top of the catchplate and at the animal's snout on the terminal.

Original identification (with the object type 'Personal Ornament'): Copper-alloy pendant, possibly of a 'Thor's Hammer' type. The object comprises a flat-sectioned, axe-shaped pendant. There is a perforation with iron inclusions at the top of the narrow 'axe base', this being the area located behind the flared edge of the axehead. The face is decorated with semicircles with dots in the centre. The reverse is not decorated. Cast copper alloy brooch, probably the incomplete terminal of a cruciform brooch. The object comprises a zoomorphic terminal showing a stylised snout and eyes. Coming up from this terminal are two broken tags showing probable moulded bands of ridge and pellet decoration. Moving further up the central body of the brooch terminal are two further broken tags, one of which is more extended; this is right-angled in plan, and may once have connected to the tag below it, creating an openwork motif on the brooch.

A fragment of an Anglo-Saxon long Brooch, consisting of the curved bow, with part of what is probably the catchplate on the reverse. It consists of a roughly rectangular plate (4.6mm thick) curved in section and broken at both ends. Each end has a flat panel and there is a fragment of flat footplate or headplate at one end. This has a ridge on the reverse, right next to the start of the bow, which is a more common place to find a catchplate; this would identify the flat area as part of the footplate. TREASURE CASE : 2007 T445. Viking-period hacksilver fragment from the terminal of an Irish type of brooch. Surface metal analysis conducted at the British Museum indicated an approximate silver content for the fragment of over 90%, with copper, gold and lead. A cast copper alloy knop from a 6th Century Anglo-Saxon brooch. Only the single knop survives. The knop is D-shaped in profile and has become detached from the main body of the brooch. The profile of the knop is very elaborate. It is formed from a double collar, which then tapers inwards, before tapering out again into a cone, the cone then terminates with a collar. There is a central circular perforation through the centre of the knop. The fragment is worn and is a pitted mid brownish-green colour. Similar brooch knops can be seen in West et al, 1998, p90 and p240, fig: 122, 7-11.

Cast and carved disc brooch dating from the Early Medieval period. The object comprises a flat-sectioned disc with carved and gilt decoration. The decoration is located within the confines of a band of metal, this being the rim of the brooch; the decorative elements were carved, leaving raised lines in the metal. A cast copper-alloy small ansate brooch, from the Frankish Merovingian period, possibly made in England. The brooch has a rounded head, with an incised triangle. Below the head there is a collar. The head-plate has a moulded lug on the reverse on its centre-line immediately above the junction with the bow. The bow is arched and rounded. A cast lead Late Saxon brooch. The brooch is circular and flat. It has been decorated on the front with a ladder-style border. Inside this are three crescents, each decorated with the ladder-style border. There is a raised crescent inside each one. There is a Y-shaped field between the crescents. There is a central, large pellet and a row of smaller pellets in each arm of the 'Y'. The reverse is flat and undecorated. The remains of the lug and catchplate can be seen and these have been arranged longitudinally. Both parts are badly squashed and damaged. No pin survives.

The corroded remains of the lug can be seen. The brooch has a high arch, with some incised decoration. The lower part of the bow is lozenge shaped and flat. The foot and catchplate have broken off. Only the stump of the catchplate remains. Similar to an example in Hattatt, p376, Fig: 235.

A cast copper alloy annular brooch, dating to the late 5th to late 6th century. The brooch frame survives intact but the pin is missing. There is a pin constriction on the frame, flanked by two incised lines either side. At quarterly intervals around the brooch frame are sets of five parallel incised lines. The reverse is undecorated and flat. The metal is badly corroded and there are patches of a blue corrosion product on the reverse. Similar to example in West (1998), p227, Fig: 109.

A fragment of a cast copper alloy cruciform brooch. This small piece includes the eyes, eyebrows and snout. Jim Halliday suggests that this may be the portion of the brooch between the bow and the catchplate. Part of a similar artefact was found on the same site in 2004 and it is possible that they two fragments may be from the same brooch. This artefact dates to the 6th or 7th century.

A cast copper alloy brooch, probably of the 10th century. This is a simple bow brooch with symmetrical flat ends; the hinge and catch plates are intact, but the pin is missing. The obverse is an apparently vegetal design: on the bow are four thin bands, which terminate at each end of the brooch in a spray of seven leaves.
