A large bow brooch of Dolphin type, complete save for the pin and much of the catchplate, though rather corroded. There is iron corrosion around the copper alloy spring. The outer parts of the prominent wings each have three groups of three mouldings and there is a pair of two mouldings adjacent to the bow. The upper part of the spine is decorated with a line of joined annulets that commence adjacent to the chord of the spring and which appear to run into a pair of grooves lower down, though this is unclear. The catchplate is openwork with a semi-circular and a lenticular aperture surviving.
