A copper alloy Roman conical disc brooch of Hattatt's 'Tutulus' type, possibly of continental origin. The plate is circular and decorated with a band of foliate or chevron decoration between two moulded ridge borders. There is a central conical projection which terminates in a small knop. The surface shows evidence of tinning and possibly the remnants of red enamel. The reverse is flat with a stump of pin lug and an in-line catchplate. Circa 2nd century AD. An incomplete cast copper-alloy rosette derivative (or thistle) form brooch dating from the Iron Age to Roman period (c. AD 20-60), 35.5mm in length. The brooch consists of the edge of the (semi-cylindrical) wings, integral bow and part of the plate. The pin, spring and catchplate are missing. The bow is 3.5mm thick and has a plano-convex profile. The wings are semi-cylindrical and undecorated and a double pierced lug holds the axis bar and spring cord. The bow has three parallel ridges along the spine. The foot flares out to 10.8mm wide, has a moulded linear border surrounding an inner border of dot decoration and joins the bow at a moulded transverse ridge. As Hattatt (2000), p314. A late Roman to early medieval silver penannular brooch, with internal diameter approximately 22mm, which has broken into two fragments at a point half way around the frame. The circular frame is 1.7mm wide and 1.0mm thick with a plano-convex or D-shaped cross sectional profile. The front is decorated with transverse incised line or cable-style decoration all the way around whilst the reverse is flat and undecorated. The wings have moulded decoration in the form of reel shapes with ridged collars. The bow has a moulded ridge which expands into the top of the head and forms the spring hook. This ridge has two cutaways, once of which holds the end of the copper alloy spring which is held in a piercing through the bow and emerges as a stump in the concave underside of the head.

There is a large, recessed central oval setting for a glass or enamel intaglio (now lost), which has a border of incised cross hatching. The plate is curved, trapezoidal in shape and has a moulded spine. A pair of rounded projecting lugs flank the widest part of the plate, below which is a a constriction with a moulded collar which then exhibits a sharp change in angle to the foot, which has been lost, along with most of the catchplate. The surface shows traces of tinning and traces of an iron spindle and pin remain at the head.

An incomplete copper alloy Roman Developed T-shaped brooch dating to the period AD 50-150. The head has a pair of tubular wings divided by a central pin slot retaining the rusted remnants of an iron axis bar. There may be a stump of a (now lost) projecting loop on the head. The bow meets the head at a 90 degree angle and has decoration in the form of a panel of three diamond shaped cells flanked by triangular incuse cells which would have probably held enamel; below this panel is a raised sub-rounded boss. The underside of the bow is concave. The foot, catchplate and pin are missing.

The bow has a central trapezoidal plate, with two flanking pointed wings, one of which is partially missing.
