A gilded circular plate brooch of Roman date. The brooch has a pronounced central projecting conical boss with a rounded knop, which sits within a saucer-like depression. The outer frame of the brooch is decorated with twenty-seven punched annulets. The reverse has a white metal coating, probably tin, though with some traces of gilding. A small central expansion on the reverse of the head may be the remains of an overhead hook or axial lug. There is no spring or pin. The bow is humped, D-shaped in section and tapers to a point. There is no catchplate. None of the original surface remains on the bow. It is unlikely that this brooch was intended as functional piece. Late first or early second century AD.

A Roman bow brooch of bow-and-fantail type. The spring has been held in place using a hole drilled in the spring housing which emerges on the head. A short length of the spring survives. The side wings are decorated with lateral bands of notching. On either side of the head is decoration which comprises closely-spaced arcing grooves. A raised strip of notched or cabled decoration runs from the spine to the the base of the fantail. Much of the catchplate is missing.

A Roman plate brooch. The brooch is circular and originally had a separate circular central element within a raised frame. The outer frame is divided into two concentric areas by a ridge. A large bow brooch of Dolphin type, complete save for the pin and much of the catchplate, though rather corroded. There is iron corrosion around the copper alloy spring. The outer parts of the prominent wings each have three groups of three mouldings and there is a pair of two mouldings adjacent to the bow. The upper part of the spine is decorated with a line of joined annulets that commence adjacent to the chord of the spring and which appear to run into a pair of grooves lower down, though this is unclear. The catchplate is openwork with a semi-circular and a lenticular aperture surviving.
