A lozenge-shaped plate brooch with a central, lozenge-shaped, panel once filled with blue enamel. Each point has a trifid terminal separated from the body of the brooch by a pair of ridges. There are slight traces of punched decoration on the inner frame. The pin, which was of iron, is missing.

The lower bow, foot and catchplate of a copper-alloy bow brooch. The remaining part of the bow is slender and is 3.5mm to 7mm wide, where it is broken. At the present upper end is a pair of transverse mouldings. At the lower end is a projecting foot. The catchplate survives.

A dolphin-type brooch, missing both the spring and the pin. The tapering arms are decorated with incised lines on each terminal. On the bow is a pair of recesses which may have held glass stones, and there is a projection between the two. On the upper part is a crudely engraved lozenge and diagonal lines. The lower part of the bow has incised lines running the length of the bow below the recesses with a zigzag line between.

A Roman plate brooch of umbonate type. The pin and most of the catchplate on the concave reverse are missing. On the front one of the original four circumferential projections is missing. The decoration consists of two concentric circles of triangular recesses inlaid with blue enamel, which survives quite well. The central circular depression apparently had no inlay. The depth of the brooch is 6mm, the maximum depth is 10.5, and the original width was c25mm. The spring and pin are missing.

A Roman disc brooch. The design is of a six circles or lobes, joined by looping lines, around a central, giving the effect of a flower. The enamelled field may have been red but is now brown. On the reverse are the remains of the copper alloy spring and iron hinge bar.

A Colchester-type brooch, complete save for the pin and spring and part of the catchplate. Each of the wings has a pair of mouldings which are decorated with narrow encircling grooves. The bow has a prominent central ridge with a deep groove along its length. The catchplate has three cutout shapes which leave a narrow internal framework. Corrosion suggests that the spring and pin were of iron.

A Roman plate brooch. The brooch is circular and originally had a separate circular central element within a raised frame. The outer frame is divided into two concentric areas by a ridge. The outer area is decorated with a continuous wavy line and the inner with punched open circles. The front of the brooch is gilded. The back has a white metal surface which does not extend to the hinge or catchplate.
