A largely complete, but twisted Roman bow brooch of Langton Down type. The brooch has a strip bow with two central flutings which run the whole length, and thickened edges. The pin was of iron and is missing.

A Roman plate brooch of chatelaine type, now fragmentary and worn. The brooch retains supports for a bar on which items of personal grooming were suspended. The brooch was originally decorated with blue enamel in triangular cells arranged around a central dome which has a pierced centre. On either side is a projecting rounded lobe with blue enamel insets.

A cast copper alloy strip form hinged bow brooch of Roman date. The brooch is formed from a narrow parallel-sided strip bow with bevelled edges and which tapers to a point. There is a band of three punched annulets across the lower part of the head and an inscribed V and two punched annulets at the lower tip. The brooch belongs to Genceva's Type 15 (eg Plate 12, nos.1-4. Genceva describes these brooches as being derived from local Aucissa types and they are only found in upper and lower 'Mesie' (?Moesia) and Roman Dacia. Their westerly limit is Sarajevo. A fragment of an early Roman rosette or thistle brooch dating to cAD25-60. What survives is part of the lower part of the curving bow and the head plate. The tapering foot and the wings and spring are all missing. The remnant is very worn and no additional decoration is now visible. On the back is a remnant of the catchplate.

An unusual cast copper alloy plate brooch. This brooch is likely to date to the Roman period and more specifically c. 2nd century AD. It is the fourth of its type known at present. The brooch is basically lozenge-shaped and has centrally a raised pointed oval projection with additonal engraved lines. Four pairs of jointed lobes project outwards, each of which are decorated with a puched pair of circles. See also BERK-200790 and BERK-147561.
