A fragment of what appears to be part of a Roman cast copper alloy bow brooch. The fragment forms an arc the main body of which is of strip form with a panel of cross-hatching bordered by transverse grooves. Below this the body turns at 90 degrees to form what appears to be a catchplate, though this is unclear. If this is a Roman brooch the type remains uncertain.

A Roman cast copper alloy zoomorphic brooch in the form of a leopard. The animal faces right; the head projects forward toward the viewer and has a projecting snout and upright ears. The eyes are formed by round pits. A narrow groove runs from the top of the head, down the nape to the upper back. Below the head are two stepped 'collars' both with closely-spaced radiating grooves. An unusual cast copper alloy plate brooch. This brooch is likely to date to the Roman period and more specifically c. 2nd century AD. It is the fourth of its type known at present. The brooch is basically lozenge-shaped and has centrally a raised pointed oval projection with additonal engraved lines. Four pairs of jointed lobes project outwards, each of which are decorated with a puched pair of circles. See also BERK-200790 and BERK-147561.

A fragment of an early Roman rosette or thistle brooch dating to cAD25-60. What survives is part of the lower part of the curving bow and the head plate. The tapering foot and the wings and spring are all missing. The remnant is very worn and no additional decoration is now visible. On the back is a remnant of the catchplate.

A cast copper alloy and enamelled Roman zoomorphic brooch in the form of a duck. The pin is missing. On the back of the duck are four elongated cells for missing enamel. The brooch has a slender rounded neck and a long sweeping curved bill. Projecting from the tail is a loop, presumably for attachment to a chain. The brooch is probably of 2nd century date.
