The upper part of a Roman bow brooch of uncertain type. The head meets the bow at right angles and has a deep hollow on each side, presumably for glass inlays. There is also one hollow on the bow. There are possible enamel cells on the wings. The spring and pin are both missing.

A fragment of a cast copper alloy Roman Brooch of Langton Down type, Nertomarus sub-type, dating to the first century AD. The fragment comprises the head which has decoration in the form of a moulded collar at the bow, from which emerges an inverted triangle with three incised dots, flanked by scrolls, with trefoils of dots underneath.
