A very worn fragment of a 5th or 6th century AD cast copper alloy disc-shaped brooch with the pin missing. The pin seating lug is present and bent and shows remains of iron. The brooch is decorated with punched dots in a cross formation. There may have been accompanying circles.

The upper part of a gilded cast copper alloy early medieval miniature bow brooch of 6th century date and in very good condition (apparently with a high tin content). The spring was of iron but only a small part remains. The brooch has a semi-circular headplate with originally three rounded projections, each containing a human mask facing outwards. The head plate itself is decorated with running branching scrolls ending in rounded lobes and with pellets in the field. The strongly-arched bow has a plain and flat central ridge with stiff decoration on either side.

An early medieval (Saxon) gilded copper alloy small square-headed brooch dating to c470-c550 AD. The lower part together with the catchplate is missing as is the iron pin. The short arched bow has a spine which is defined by two deep grooves. The upper panel of decoration which, although based on Salin's Anglo-Saxon Style I, contains no identifiable zoomorphic elements. Tis is set within a notched border.

The central decorative element from a circular enamelled brooch of late 10th to 11th century date (Saunderton type). The circular component is divided into a scrolling cruciform pattern with separate cells of red, blue and white glass made using a cloisonne technique set into a backing plate with integral raised sides. The rest of the brooch, catchplate and pin are missing. The brooch may have been gilded but there is no trace of gilding on this fragment.

A Late Saxon cloisonne-enamelled disc brooch, gilded both on front and back. The brooch is circular and originally had seven equally-spaced lobed projections (one is now missing) with hollows for a missing inlay. The hinge and catchplate were made from soldered strips and both survive though they are damaged. The enamelled cells are separated by seven thin strips of copper alloy which hold in place nine glass components which together make up a symmetrical design based on a pair of lobes with opposed spirals. A copper alloy fragment, 20.7mm in length, possibly from an early medieval brooch. The fragment appears to comprise part of a lobe, wing or arm, with moulded decoration in the form of a double frame containing a motif, now illegible and a corner of a second framed decorative area on the bent portion. An Anglo-Saxon disc brooch, 32.2mm in diameter. The face is heavily corroded but carries traces of incised decoration in the form of a row of dots within a pair of lines around the circumference and a single larger dot or hole (of 1.7mm diameter) at the centre. No other decoration is discernable, although the surface shows signs of having been tinned. The reverse is undecorated and has in-line stumps for the catchplate and hinge lug. Circa 5th-6th century.

An incomplete early Medieval bow brooch of small-long type with a sub rectangular head decorated with a margin of punched wedges and a faint row of punched dots running diagonally across. An early Medieval cast copper alloy disc brooch which has been folded in half across the mid-line, probably deliberately. The face has been decorated with incised groups of concentric circles with a group of four at the centre and an outer band of two near the rim. The centre has a dot, from which the scriber creating these bands of lines would have been rotated. The reverse retains a hooked catchplate and a hinge lug with the concreted remains of an iron spring. The pin is missing.

The upper part of the face comprises a triangular helmet which sits over straight eyebrows which form a single element with the nose. The eyes are large and round, sitting over a narrow, angular mouth. The reverse has stumps of an in-line hinge and catchplate which demonstrate iron staining from the missing spring and pin.
