Copper alloy disc brooch with central setting, Hattatt's 'gilded glass centre boss' type. Missing spring, pin, and setting, 29.79mm in diameter. The spring lug survives with corroded iron within it, the catch plate also survives. The central setting was enclosed by a 3.5mm high rim. Two broad concave rings were separated by narrow ribs. There is no trace of the original silvering and gilding. Type as Hattatt no 640, a later Roman British product, 2nd-3rd century.
