Romano-British Trumpet headed brooch, chain-loop, pin, catchplate flap and foot terminal missing. Six-coil spring with copper alloy axis bar. Large sub-circular boss on bow with circular field of blue enamel around central dot. Sides of boss are straight but there is no sign of lobes at the corners as in Hattatt nos.450-3 et al. Length 42mm. Width of head 13mm, of boss 12mm. 2nd century.

On D-section bow an engraved line curves from the top to the both sides before curving downwards to join in the centre of the front just above the level of the start of the catchplate on the rear. Triangular foot of Romano-British copper alloy brooch with incomplete catchplate on reverse. Red enamelled decoration consists of a roughly lozengiform cell near the apex above two dots, and near the base a large triangular between two small triangular cells in the corners. Two abraded areas near the sides are now devoid of enamel. It is uncertain whether this material was also red. Length >21mm. Width 20mm. 1st - 2nd century.

Romano-British copper alloy glass centre-boss brooch, pin and centre-boss missing, stubs of catchplate and single pin lug only. The front is gilded and the reverse has traces of white-metal coating. Single ring of punched elongated S-shaped stamps. Cf. Hattatt no. 1214 and Mackreth 1996, fig. 99 no. 80. Diameter 23mm. Mackreth (op. cit., 321-2) argued that such brooches were manufactured towards the end of the 2nd century and in the first quarter or half of the 3rd. Bayley and Butcher (2004, 178-9) suggested that production may have continued into the 4th century.
