Fragment of Roman copper alloy Colchester Derivative two-piece brooch (i.e. with a Harlow spring system), short median rib with transverse notch at forward hook, broken pin and spring of nine loops and chord, bent D-sectioned bow, triangular openwork catch-plate. Wingspan 16mm. Length (slightly distorted) 40mm. c.43-c.100 AD.

Romano British copper alloy Polden Hill brooch of closed wing ends type, spring, pin, part of catchplate flap and foot missing. Pairs of knurled ribs on wings. Rib on upper end of the bent oval-sectioned bow with multiple engraved notches on both faces of the semi-circular moulding forming the junction with the wings. Surviving length (unbent) c.50mm. Wingspan 36mm. Late 1st - early 2nd century.
