An incomplete cast Medieval to Post-Medieval lead alloy heart shaped brooch or mount, probably c. AD 1300-1600. The possible brooch is is heart shaped in plan, with a central longitudinal depression. It is decorated in low relief with a beaded border and with the two lobes of the heart cross hatched, an obliquely angled beaded band runs across the heart. The reverse features a central, longitudinal casting seam, from with project three lugs. These may be the vestigial remains of an attachment method, or simple casting flaws.
