A copper alloy Roman bow brooch foot fragment. The bow is straight and D-sectioned, and the rest of the brooch is missing due to old breaks. The remains of a triangular-shaped catchplate, perforated with a circular opening above a trapezoidal one, can be seen on the reverse of the bow foot, the base of which is squared-off. The outside edge of the catchplate is curved back at right angles to create a pronounced pin rest. A copper alloy Roman bow brooch, Colchester derivative hinged type. It consists of most of the wings and upper bow only, the pin, axis bar and catchplate are missing. The wings are folded round to form a cylinder, on one side of the bow only, the other side is missing. There is moulding on the upper bow and incised lines running transversely around the wings. The bow is D-shaped. The brooch measures 31.75mm in surviving width across the wings, 25.14mm in surviving length, and weighs 6.46g.

A copper alloy Roman bow brooch fragment. It consists of the catch plate and base of the bow only, the rest is missing due to old breaks. The bow is plain and 2.7mm in width, with the triangular-shaped catchplate forming a frame for a large triangular perforation at its centre. There is a strong groove on the inside of the catchplate to accommodate the pin when the brooch was closed. It is likely to be part of a Colchester derivative type brooch. The fragment measures 16.12mm in surviving width, 26.19mm in surviving length, and weighs 2.08g.

The metalwork is worn and there is active corrosion product. The wing is cylindrical and the bow is rounded in section, the surfaces being too worn to ascertain the true dhape and thickness. The fragment measures 12.88mm in surviving width, 28.61mm in surviving length, and weighs 6.74g.
