A copper alloy incomplete Roman bow brooch, Colchester type, 25-65 AD. Part of the spring coil, the pin and part of the catchplate are missing due to old breaks. The wings are short and flat, and the bow is unusually flat with only a slightly convex profile. It has a uniformly narrow, rectangular shape and is not curved. Three coils of the spring are visible to one side of the hook, which is bent forward on to the bow, and the rest is missing. A fragment of catchplate remains at the base of the bow. The brooch measures 13.45mm in width acros the wings, 44.03mm in length, and weighs 3.52g.

Three spring coils survive intact, extending at one end to a pin that is circular in section and tapers to a sharp point. The opposite end of the spring coil terminates in old breaks. Early Roman cast copper alloy bow brooch fragment. Only the foot and catchplate survive. The catchplate is triangular. The foot has a trilobate cross section and terminates in a short cylindrical knop with a flat base and a groove around its circumference. The surviving section of the brooch is 14.45mm long, 10.19mm wide, 1.12mm thick across the catchplate, 2.72mm thick across the foot and the terminal knop has a diameter of 5.54mm and is 4.12mm long. It weighs 1.2 grams. It has an even, dark green patina.

Early Roman cast copper alloy colchester derivative brooch fragment. Only the upper section of the bow and wings survive, and these sections are worn and damaged. The surviving section of the bow is plain and undecorated, it has an oval cross section. The incomplete wings are rectangular with a slight recess on the reverse, where the pin fittings would have been located. The surface of the metal is pitted. It has a dark green patina. It is 10.03mm long, 15.54mm wide across the wings, the bow is 6.82mm wide, 5.83mm thick. It weighs 1.8 grams.

Roman copper alloy dolphin type bow brooch, 33mm long, 21mm wide and 12mm thick. The brooch is in fair condition and weighs 5.79grams. The brooch consists of open semi-circular wings which are now missing the spring. They are decorated on each side with a vertical row of short raised lines flanked on both sides by a solid raised line. The bow is semi-circular and is decorated with a ridge of short raised lines. There is most of a triangular shaped catchplate present near the base.
