An incomplete copper-alloy Roman T-shaped brooch found in two pieces in separate locations (see SF-BA3D60). This fragment consists of the foot and catchplate of the brooch. The foot is flat and flares slightly towards the base, which has a slight outturned lip. On the front face there are the remains of three ring and dot motifs, two complete examples at the base of the foot and half of one motif at the top of the fragment, which joins with the other incomplete ring-and-dot motif on the upper half of the bow. An incomplete and worn copper-alloy Roman Colchester derivative double pierced lug bow brooch. It is missing the lower half of the bow, foot, catchplate, spring and pin due to old breaks. The wings are semi-cylindrical in shape and perhaps have grooves towards their outer edges, but this is uncertain due to corrosion and wear. At the centre of the wings is the double pierced lug to allow for attachment to the now missing spring and axis bar. A fragment from an incomplete brooch, probably from a Roman Colchester derivative bow brooch of 1st century AD date. Only the lower part of the bow, the foot and catchplate survive, the remainder missing due to old breaks. The bow is very thin, D-shaped in section with a flat back and no apparent decoration. On the back face of the bow is the integral catchplate, which extends to the base of the foot, is sub-triangular in shape with curved pin slot and two circular perforations. This fragment measures 29.31mm in length, 2.95mm in width, and weighs 1.58g.

It is an incomplete triangular shape, with an openwork notched or lobed pattern in the centre. The bow is triangular in section, and there is a strong groove for the pin adjacent to the outside edge which curls forward over it. A copper alloy Roman catchplate from a bow brooch, probably a Colchester derivative type, AD 43-100. It consists of the bottom part of the bow which is D-shaped but becoming triangular towards it base, and a triangular-shaped catchplate. There is a large perforation in the centre, and the outer edge is folded in. The fragment measures 25mm in surviving length and is 12.15mm at its widest point. It tapers to 5.63mm at its foot and weighs 4.03g. It resembles examples illustrated from Hacheston in Blagg et al 2004, fig.64, nos.91 and 105.
