A very worn and corroded copper-alloy object, possibly a Colchester type brooch of Roman date. It has a cylindrical body, tapering at one end (top?) to a curving and pointed hook, probably missing its tip due to old breaks. At the opposite end the body tapers, bends outwards to an angle of 90 degrees before eventually narrowing to a pointed tip. An incomplete copper-alloy Roman or early plate brooch dating to c. AD 43-1065. The brooch is circular in shape with a flat section, it is almost complete apart from the pin which has broken part way down. The upper surface of the brooch is too eroded and concreted to be able to identify any diagnostic decoration. Diameter: 24.05mm, thickness: 2.17mm, thickness (inc. pin and catch plate): 9.16mm, weight: 5.71g.

An incomplete copper-alloy Roman rear hook Colchester derivative brooch. The head is incomplete, only part of one wing surviving. This surviving section is decorated with a wide transverse flute. The reverse of the head is concave and the remains of a rear-facing hook projects from the centre of its upper edge. The bow is a flattened D-shape in cross-section, curved in profile and tapering towards a rounded break at its lower end. A fragment of a very worn plate brooch of unbomate type and 2nd century in date. A fragment of the outer edge survives and the rest is missing deut to old breaks, now worn. The fragment measures 19.48mm by 11.39mm in size. Around the edge of the front face there are triangular cells filled with decayed enamel. On the back face a double pin lug survives. Both faces have active powdery green corrosive products visible.

Copper alloy brooch, Colchester derivative Polden Hill variant (folded wing, Eastern Group), variant Polden Hill rear hook spring attachment. Upper half only, missing pin, some corrosion. The spring has 10 turns. The axis bar is held in 4mm wide enclose ends and a rear hook holds the chord. The wings have a concave moulding and rib with intervening grooves at the terminals. Copper alloy brooch, Colchester derivative type with Polden Hill variant spring attachment. Missing foot with catchplate, spring, pin. The spring was held by a rear hook and by enclosed wing ends, 6mm wide - these contain an iron-like corrosion, but it does not react to a magnet. The wings have a single angled groove and five grooves at the terminals, with slight notching of some of the intervening narrow ribs. The snake head terminal has a punched dot eyes, punched V-shapes for scales and a strong V-shaped moulding at the neck.
