A copper alloy bow brooch of the Wirral type dating to the Roman period. The object is a hinged example. The head is stepped as is typical of this type and is incomplete due to ancient breaks. The headloop missing. The lower step is decorated with a series of incised vertical grooves.
The upper bow is decorated with three raised vertical panels with alternating enamelled cells in each panel. A cast copper alloy flat disc brooch dating to the Roman period, (AD43-410). The object is oval in plan however all the outer edges have been damaged. The object is decorated with two slightly raised oval bands of copper alloy which surround a central circular depression. The decoration is very worn and no traces of enamel can be seen. On the rear of the object are an incomplete catchplate and an incomplete fitting which would have housed the hinged pin. The hinge and pin are missing. Each surface of the object is pitted and worn with a mid brown patina.

Cast copper alloy brooch dating to the Medieval period, (1100-1500). It is circular in plan with a wavy circumference. The upper surface is decorated with 22 small raised pellets. The internal circumference of the object is decorated with a twisted rope decoration, on which the remains of gilding can be seen. There are traces of gilding on the outer edges of the object also. On the upper surface of the object are the remains of deep blue enamel. The reverse of the object is flat and undecorated.
