Cu alloy Roman bow brooch, possibly Colchester derivative. The pin, catchplate and spring are missing. The crossbar is quite short and has square ends. In the middle at the top there is an indentation. No decoration is visible but this could be due to wear. The bow is plain and tapers almost to a point. Just below the crossbar is a round hole, possibly a headstud was attached here but none remains.
