Roman brooch; Cast copper alloy sawfish, hinged T-shaped brooch, dating to the 1st-2nd centuries. The brooch has flattened, cylindrical wings with a simple incised line around the end of each. The remnants of a loop can be seen extending from the centre top of the brooch. The bow has a fairly shallow curve. There is a shield-shaped stud at the head of the brooch and the bow below the head is decorated with cast relief decoration in a double zig-zag pattern. Roman copper-alloy disc brooch dating to the 2nd century. The circular plate is recessed for enamel and the reserved ornament consists of a central spot with a sexfoil design with lobes on the cusps around it. There are traces of red enamel within the sexfoil, and traces of what now appears as ?black enamel around it. The pin is missing but there are traces of iron staining around the intact single pierced plate. The catchplate is damaged. A complete Roman cast copper alloy bow-and-fantail brooch dating to the late 1st to mid 2nd century. The complete hinged pin is no longer freely moving. The headloop is intact and the short wings are undecorated. The narrow arched bow flares to flat triangular foot. The foot is decorated with a so-called 'Celtic' motif made up of double trumpet shape in reserved metal and outlined by red enamel, which is extremely well preserved. An incomplete Roman copper-alloy and enamel zoomorphic plate brooch in the form of a fish viewed in profile. The brooch is a flat pointed oval in shape with the tail and fins now broken off and missing. A fragment of a copper alloy possible Roman knotenfibel brooch, possibly consisting of a fragment of the bow and openwork catchplate. Overall, the fragment measures 23.4mm long, 9.1mm wide and 2.5mm thick. It weighs 1.3g. The fragment consists of a cylindrical rod which divides in two, one part continuing as a rod on the same axis as the main rod and the other part becoming flat and curving away. The fragment's surface is damaged revealing its core that appears to have a high tin content. It was submitted for consideration as Treasure, but has been declared as not Treasure.

An incomplete enamelled copper alloy Roman openwork plate brooch (AD c.100-c.200), missing a small fragment from its edge and part of its catchplate. Overall, the brooch measures 50mm long, 30mm wide and 12mm thick. It weighs 18g. The brooch is similar in overall shape to a plate brooch illustrated by Richard Hattatt (1989, p.356, Fig. 215, no. 1619). Similar examples have been recorded on the database (e.g. SF-5CA222). Complete copper alloy penannular brooch frame with missing pin of Fowler Type C. The frame is constructed of a single length of wire which is sub-square in section with rounded edges. The penannular frame has terminals formed by both ends of the frame coiled back onto the frame. The terminals both consist of a single coil. Most of these brooches are dated 1st - 2nd century, although a few are later and quite a number appear as reused in Anglo-Saxon (Early Medieval) contexts.

The fragment has a plain curved band, terminating in a raised trefoil, possibly representing a leaf or flower.
