A copper alloy fibula brooch dating from the Roman period. The pin, spring and most of the catchplate are missing. The bow has a narrow head with very small wings, though these seem to be broken and were probably wider. The back of the head is concave where the spring would have fitted. The bow and head are not decorated except for a central ridge running the whole length. The foot of the brooch is also damaged or missing. This is probably an example of a dolphin brooch. An early Roman enamelled copper alloy disc brooch. The brooch is circular, flat and has a single lug on the reverse. Opposite the lug is an integral catchplate. The surface of the brooch is highly decorative. In reserved metal is a circle in the centre with ten pellets surrounding it. Surrounding the pellets is a zig-zagged band with ten apex's. A pellet from the inner band is located in each angle. The interior of the central circle contains blue enamel; the field surrounding the pellets contains an orange-brown enamel, and the field outside the zig-zagged line contains green enamel.

Cast copper alloy lozenge shaped plate brooch from the 2nd century AD. It is lozenge shaped in plan with a rounded projection at each point. It is a hinged type with the top of the pin still sitting in the hinge mechanism, although it has broken just after. The front has a raised edge with millefiori enamel filling it. Around half of the enamel is missing now but red, white and blue were used to create a chequer-board pattern. The red forms the lozenge shapes with diagonal lines, then inside each lozenge are alternating squares of white, blue and red.

An incomplete cast copper alloy Trumpet brooch, dating to the late 1st to early 2nd century AD. The head of the brooch is missing. The bow is comma shaped in profile and D-shaped in cross-section with a half-rounded acanthus reel decorating the upper part of the bow. The lower bow is triangular in cross-section and has a flat reeled foot at the terminal. The underside of the foot is undecorated. The catchplate is intact.

An enamelled copper alloy umbonate brooch. The brooch is circular and has a deep channel running inside the perimeter. The body is domed and decorated with a quatrefoil of reserved metal with red enamel set within the petals and blue between. There is a circular cell in the centre that is missing its enamel. There are four half rounded lugs around the perimeter. One of these has an incomplete suspension loop above it. There is a catchplate and two lugs for a hinged pin on the reverse. The pin is missing. A similar brooch can be found illustrated in Mackreth (2011, Pl. 109; no. 11588).

Catchplate from an early Roman brooch, probably a Colchester brooch. The catchplate is triangular and has a circular hole through the centre. The catchplate is made from a thin sheet of copper alloy; presumably the bow twisted and widened to form a flat, thin strip.

A large cast copper alloy two-piece Colchester brooch. The brooch is comma shaped in profile and oval in cross-section, tapering to a pointed foot. The head of the brooch has two narrow rectangular wings with a rearward hook in the centre above. A spring of seven or eight turns evolves from the head. The pin is missing. There is a copper alloy pin through the spring. The brooch appears to have been damaged and repaired in antiquity. Half of the spring is copper alloy and the other half is iron showing a clear repair.
