An incomplete cast copper alloy bow and fantail brooch with silvering, dating to the Roman period, between AD 43 – 200 (length: 33.5mm; width at wings: 23.5mm; thickness/ depth: 11mm; weight: 5.6g).
At the top of the brooch, the semi-cylindrical wings are complete (length of wings to either side of head: 10.5mm; diameter of wings: 4mm) with hollow and open terminals to either end where the remains of the iron axis bar are still visible. Incomplete cast copper alloy dolphin brooch. The brooch has undecorated cylindrical wings in cross-section containing an axis bar for a hinged pin. The pin is missing. There is a small integral collar located just underneath the base of the bow head on the reverse. The bow is D-shaped in cross-section, comma shaped in plan and tapers to an incomplete foot. The bow is undecorated. The catchplate is missing.

Incomplete copper alloy brooch in the form of a duck. Only the back of the duck remains, which is oval and convex, hollow on the underside and missing its catchplate. There are two worn and incomplete lugs at the rear end representing the pin lug. Each wing on the back of the duck is decorated with nine crescentric cells filled with alternate enamel of blue and red/brown. Roman brooch; Cast copper alloy sawfish, hinged T-shaped brooch, dating to the 1st-2nd centuries. The brooch has flattened, cylindrical wings with a simple incised line around the end of each. The remnants of a loop can be seen extending from the centre top of the brooch. The bow has a fairly shallow curve. There is a shield-shaped stud at the head of the brooch and the bow below the head is decorated with cast relief decoration in a double zig-zag pattern. Incomplete cast copper alloy Hod Hill brooch. The brooch has a broken headplate and is missing its rolled over tube and pin at the top. The main body is rectangular and is decorated with three vertical ribs and deep channels between. The perimeters are missing. There are four tapering collars below with deep channels between. The foot is trangular, flat and terminates with a collared circular foot. The catchplate on the reverse is complete and there is a patch of iron corrosion on one side of it where the pin originally rested. No silvering remains.

Cast copper alloy late Roman crossbow brooch. The wings are rectangular in cross-section and have a slot in the centre of the reverse to acommodate a pin. Only the looped hinge of the pin remains. The wings are each decorated with three vertical rope-like bands with deep channels between. The wing terminals are solid knops. The bow is comma shaped and rectangular in cross-section. The foot is triangular in plan and is decorated with a row of facets on either side. There is a rolled over catchplate on the reverse.

Enamelled copper alloy duck brooch. The brooch is very damaged and now in a distorted shape. The head and neck of the bird is missing, however the main body remains. The body is convex and decorated with channels of enamel picking out the wings and feathers of the bird. A small fragment of blue enamel remains in one of the channels. There is a double lug to accomadate a hinged pin on the reverse. The pin and catchplate are missing.
